Since 2013, the Eminence Kids Foundation has donated organic fruits, vegetables and juices to sick children around the world. Today, we're proud to announce the next steps in our journey: a beautiful new website and a name for our teddy bear mascot.

Registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the U.S., the Éminence Kids Foundation has served over 31,000 organic meals to seriously ill children to aid in their recovery and long-lasting health. With the launch of our new website, we can now provide more information as well as accept online donations for the Foundation. We are excited to advance this important cause through this new destination online.

Along with creating a new website, we have worked hard on another essential element: a name for our teddy bear mascot. This bear has traveled the globe, from Hungary to Vancouver, Las Vegas and Austin, to spread joy to children undergoing treatment for their illnesses. Earlier this year, one of our Éminence team-members had a great idea: to name the mascot! The quest to name the bear began at our Annual Business Conference, where we asked Éminence employees from all over the world to submit ideas for the teddy bear’s new name. Over 50 suggestions were counted, and our Bear-Naming Committee narrowed the list down to the top three:

  •    HANK (Healing And Nourishing Kids)
  •    Boldibear (a play on the name of our company president, Boldijarre Koronczay)
  •    Yarrow (the root of the yarrow plant is used in skincare to nourish and heal)

Our teddy bear then traveled to the International Spa Association Conference & Expo (ISPA), where over 2,000 spa industry leaders had the opportunity to submit votes for their favorite name. Returning to our corporate office in Vancouver, Canada, the teddy bear was welcomed back with open arms. A companywide survey was emailed to all of our North American employees, inviting everyone to vote for their favorite name. Just seven days later, the votes were tallied. We are so thrilled to announce the name of our Eminence Kids Foundation mascot is… HANK!

HANK recently played a special role in our #eminencekids social media campaign. We promised to provide an organic meal in return for every picture with HANK posted to social media with the hashtag #eminencekids. Our spa partners and ISPA rallied behind this cause, providing over 190 meals in just 40 days!

We can’t wait to see where HANK will make a positive, heartfelt impact next. Visit www.eminencekidsfoundation.org to learn more.
